The modeling of the data set to the PROCEDURE module contains references to the following projects:

• § 21-Dataset according to KHEntgG, for backward compatibility.

• FHIR-Profil Procecure-uv-ips of the IPS (International Patient Summary), already considered for forward compatibility.

The Core Specification of HL7 FHIR, including the corresponding resource Procedure, and previous work on the German Base Profiles in FHIR Version STU3 and R4 were also taken into account.

The current specification was designed based on the description of the MII core data set in the version of 10.3.2017 (PDF), as well as the data set description in ART-DECOR.

For the classifications and terminologies, the German "Operationen- und Prozedurenschlüssel" from DIMDI is used on the one hand. On the other hand, the introduction of the procedure section of SNOMED CT is anticipated.
